Hours: 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year
Salary: £34,600 per annum

Milton Keynes College People Services Team is looking for an experienced HR Business Partner to join our team. The successful candidate will lead the operational Human Resource Service. Working proactively in partnership with managers and other colleagues to provide guidance on employee relations issues and compliance with relevant regulations and employment law. You will establish positive working relationships with managers to support the delivery of a proactive HR service. 

To provide a professional business partner service for the regionally based prison education teams. A key responsibility for this post holder will be supporting TUPE activity and change management. Working in close partnership with key stakeholders you will provide advice and guidance on employee relations, organisational development, talent management, development and TUPE, to enable staff to put learner’s success at the heart of what we do.

As a successful candidate you will:

  • A good basic education including GCSE level C or equivalent in Maths and English Minimum of Level 7 CIPD or equivalent experience 
  • Experience of managing TUPE processes and change management activity
  • Extensive employee relations experience, including managing complex cases and tribunals
  • Experience of working in a regional role, with the ability to provide own transport
  • Ability to build effective stakeholder relationships with key contacts, including providing remote support
  • Demonstrate a credibility of knowledge and expertise as an HR professional
  • Be accurate, thorough and maintain high standards to ensure a quality proactive HR service is provided at all times
  • Work flexibly across the regions to support the wider team as required
  • Computer literate, with the ability to use people data to influence change
  • Have the ability to work on your own initiative but also as part of the wider team to ensure effective collaboration and contribution to the overall reputation of People Services
  • This position requires regular travel between sites and the main office in Milton Keynes and candidates should have access to their own vehicle to fulfil the duties of the role.
