Job Title: Painting and Decorating Trainer
Location: Various London Establishments including HMP Brixton, HMP ISIS, HMP Wandsworth amongst others
Hours: Full time, permanent, 37.5 hours per week
Salary: £26,000 – £30,000
Bounce Back are looking to hire Painting and Decorating Trainers to be based at their various London establishments across South London.
Applicants should be able and willing to deliver Painting and Decorating courses within a custodial setting on an ad hoc basis (to cover leave) in order prepare prisoners for employment upon release. You will set high expectations for the work environment and your learners in terms of security, health and safety and outcomes for learners.

About Bounce Back
Bounce Back Foundation specialises in reducing reoffending by providing training, support and employment opportunities to ex-offenders. The Charity provides, training both in prison and in the community along with tailored support for participants whilst in prison, and resettlement services through the gate until sustainable employment is achieved. The Social Enterprise is a small painting, decorating and refurbishment business that provides on the job, training, and longer term employment options. In addition, further employment opportunities exist with a wide range of employment partners in the construction industry.
The Charity has training centres or projects in several prisons in and around London, with three training centres within HMP Brixton alone. Our primary focus is to reduce reoffending by supporting ex-offenders into paid employment in construction. We work to do this by training and equipping ex-offenders with skills, professional qualifications, and an understanding of how to manage self-employment, benefits and tax so that they can move into the workplace with confidence and complete the transition from custody into paid employment.
To date over 600 people have been through their programme and they have a re-offending rate of less than 12% against the national average of 60%.
