Salary: Between £45,000 to £48,500 pa

Location: Rugby - Rainsbrook Secure Training Centre (STC)

Closing Date: 22nd March

As Head of Transition and Resettlement at Rainsbrook Secure Training Centre (STC) you will lead on the development and implementation of child centred, needs-led and integrated sentence planning underpinned by BIONIC principles and focused on reducing reoffending. It’s a perfect opportunity to exhibit your strong leadership qualities, helping the Centre to develop and implement systems aimed at reducing reoffending, while working to ensure MTCnovo builds towards its goal of becoming the UK's most trusted provider of justice and social care services.

About us:

Over the last few years we have forged a strong identity in the rehabilitation industry with a view towards significantly reducing the level of reoffending in the UK. Our company aims are underpinned by our staff and by our overall approach to rehabilitation practices, which are centred on four core values: integrity, innovation, responsibility and excellence.

About the role:

In the role of Head of Transition and Resettlement, you will act as a member of the Senior Management Team leading on the development and delivery of services aimed at reducing rates of reoffending, working closely in conjunction with stakeholders in the wider community to enable a smooth transition and resettlement process for Children and Young Persons (CYP) at Rainsbrook STC. You will implement needs-led and integrated sentence planning and help conduct a range of outcome-based interventions with a view to successfully meeting STC goals in accordance with the Ministry of Justice contract.

You will also be responsible for continuously monitoring and improving the overall performance of the Centre, working to create a culture that is founded on MTCnovo core values and is focused on promoting equality and diversity across all operational facilities. You will also develop a specific Care Management Team (CMT), which will facilitate a highly skilled approach to individualised care, ensuring Children and Young Persons (CYP) receive the help and support they require.

As defined by the Director, you will also manage devolved areas of the STC budget, effectively analysing costs and solutions to bolster operational efficiency.

 About you:

To succeed you must have team management experience within a Custodial environment and ideally be certificated as a Custody Officer or be willing to train for this on our seven week initial training programme. You’ll need previous senior level experience developing and delivering needs-led integrated sentence planning to reduce rates of reoffending. It is also preferred that you will have experience managing high-risk Children and Young Persons (CYP), preferably within a custodial environment, and that you can display evidence of promoting equality and anti-discriminatory practice in previous roles. Previous experience/knowledge of a operating in BIONIC culture that enables CYP to take ownership of their rehabilitation and achieve their goals is highly desirable.
