HMP Bullingdon’s education department are looking for an experienced Groundworks lecturer / trainer to deliver Level 1 Paving to a diverse group of learners within the prison. As a Lecturer within our Milton Keynes College Offender Learning team you will help to develop a strong Paving programme that meets the needs of the learners, prison and Milton Keynes College. While also being motivated to develop progression opportunities for the learners within the Groundworksindustry.
You will be teaching learners about how to plan, design and create their own pathway using block, slab and gravel paving techniques. In addition, you will improve on their customer service skills and personal development through individual development and action planning. This course is based in a workshop with functioning paving bays.
This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated Groundworks lecturer / trainer to deliver high learner success, through effective teaching and delivery in Paving. This vacancy would suit a highly motivated Groundworks teacher, with a can do approach to education. HMP Bullingdon has the capacity to hold 1114 offenders all serving a range of sentences from remand to life, with the average length of stay between 3 and 6 months.
