HMP Ranby is a working resettlement prison housing almost 1,100 adult male prisoners.
The Education Department aspires to prepare prisoners for release and resettlement through the provision of a range of both academic and vocational programmes from Entry Level to Level Two. Their programmes are developed and delivered through close collaboration with their prison colleagues and other partner agencies.
Education at Ranby is in the process of undergoing significant change with a number of new and innovative courses being introduced, coupled with a radical change in the way that learners are allocated to pathways of learning that are closely allied to career options and opportunities.
If you feel that you have what it takes to inspire learners to change their offending behaviour; want to work in a challenging but rewarding environment and think that you can help HMP Ranby become a true centre of excellence for offender learning, they would like to meet you.
