Catch22 is a social business, a not for profit business with a social mission.
Catch22 work with young people and adults in custody and in the community, providing a range of services including offender management and resettlement, gangs and veterans in custody. Almost half of all adults leaving prison are reconvicted within a year. Catch22 provide intervention services in custody and in the community that focus on building strong, consistent and trusting relationships to help unlock potential and make positive changes in life.
Catch22 have been delivering offender management in prisons since 2011. Using a strengths-based approach, we assess the motivation of service users to stop offending. Our staff also address immediate risks and needs of service users, including mental health, substance misuse, gang involvement and behaviour work based on their criminality and what needs to be done to minimise risk. Our experience has given us the ability to deliver at scale, and we train staff to share best practices in prisons across the country.
Our staff work in prisons across the South West, Hampshire, West Yorkshire and London. Through group and one-to-one work, we assess long term needs and consequential thinking and behaviour. Resettlement plans are created with service users and address education, employment, housing, debt and more. Taking an evidence-based approach to reducing reoffending, we work with housing and employment partners and use the support of family members to ensure service users achieve a settled and positive lifestyle.
